All of Nature is self-governing. To think we are some how separate from it because of a certain belief-system is just proving our ego ass is larger than your brain mass .... unless of course you're running for a prestigious office hell-bent on control or wanting to fill collection plates. Then it's cool and edible. Carry on, my son.
Mrs. Earth has been taking care of herself for a lot longer .... long before we fell out of the tree. And her Son (or Sun) of our being is naturally oblivious of our political afflictions, our religious groups we put ourselves through, or our names and labels we anoint ourselves with. Our Spirits have their own "organization" to busy themselves with, in their own church of Space.
Earth
to Sun, with cousin Moon: "I've seen quite enough of them today," and
is entertaining other options. "Lets see, how about a rain medley with a
crescendo of lighting percussion to drop their socks and cell phones.
Like snow to drift over your monuments, but then it may seem too
greeting-card pretty and they might get the wrong idea and start to wrap
up and hand out gifts for some godly reason. I know I know, here's a
nice memorable volcanic eruption, we gave Pompeii, to show em who's
really the boss of this pin-ball machine they call a Galaxy .... one of
countless many!"
"I’ve often said that I think that we’re all born libertarians. And people ask me when did you become a libertarian? I said as long as I can remember. Except I went through many, many years of having it beaten out of me by the status quo." -Ron Paul
Why shouldn't self-governing mean everything? Don't you deserve it?
Big gov, big pharma, big Wally World, big doctor complex, big prison complex, big war complex and such we don't know yet, all got the idea from big religion. From the mob of all religions: Catholicism. And all continue to survive and prosper to the max because we have separated ourselves from our self-governing-Spirit we were born with .... with the help of big media to push and repeat the agenda to us like a mantra.
We not only bought into the , less than thee, and swallowed it, and continue to do so, we pass it on to our precious children for them to do to theirs. Like it's the right thing to do. All under the guise of entertainment.
How dare us blasphem-ize our creator given Spirit of the self. Of All That Is. Dumb-down our-self. Telling ourselves we are unworthy of our own thoughts. That somebody or something else is more important than what we were born with. That you need to be born again because Who did it the first time didn't know what the hell they were doing. That you need another person to take care of your health and that your immune system doesn't work. That you need somebody to tell you how to work, to live, to feel, to react, and how to vote. Who to love. Who to hate and who to kill. How dare us!

We've
played second fiddle with ourselves for so long we believe we can
hardly play anymore without an accompaniment. We can't even be with
ourselves for very long before we have to get out and run. We believe
that going out and buying something or being with a certain person or a
group of people is the root of all happiness. We believe that wearing
something or not wearing something, long or short hair or cut a certain
way, prayer cap or not, driving a car or a buggy, praying or not, going
to church or not, marring or not, smoking something or not, eating
something or not, listening to a certain music or not .... is how to
really live our life.
If we truly believe that we are created in our God's image then why do we doubt ourselves? Why do we lie to our spirit-selves? It's no wonder we have to go to our church every Sunday for a reminder. Why we have to go to our doctor for a check-up every year, or run to them when any little ailment arises. Why we are always disgusted with who our votes gave us. Then we "get off" on criticizing, condemning and complaining while our country suffers. While our body suffers. While our Spirit suffers.
Yes Ron, we are born libertarian, but until we vote the way of our self governing spirit, instead of the status quo, we'll have to wait to die to get back 'home' to it.

Well,
maybe not. More and more people are seeing the errors of their history
and catching the light in their own eyes, instead of loosing their self
governing spirit to some fabricated institution's profit margins.

The pledge of allegiance was written by a socialist as propaganda.
Unsurprisingly we have today a situation where if you refuse to stand and pledge "allegiance" to a piece of cloth, a State official will berate you, treat you like a child and when that doesn't work he will have an armed officer force you to leave.
If that doesn't work the officer will tase, mace, imprison or shoot you.

We call this freedom.
